These boots have a one-piece vamp and top construction, and maple leather cowhide lining. The boot shafts are 18" tall in the back, and come up 21" in the front (see photos). They fit just below my knee so they're perfect when I sit down. With an 18" calf size, they fit great with breeches, such as equestrian breeches shown in pics below. The insole and outsole are both made of leather. They have a 2" square french toe, and a 2" stacked leather cuban heel with a spur ridge. These boots are more comfortable and look classier than my old pair of Cavalry Boots from an unknown maker I got years ago. Read the history of Civil War Cavalry Boots that I wrote and appears on hotboots.com.
