When I got this pair of boots, it was the only time I chased a man I didn't know. In summer, 1979, I was wandering in a shopping mall in Oklahoma City waiting for a friend when I came upon a western fasion show being staged in center court. With time to kill, I sat and watched. Mostly women's stuff, but then this really hot tall cowboy comes wandering out in these Justin roughout boots. After the show, I saw this guy sitting alone in the food court, smokin' a Marlboro. The place was crowded, so I asked if I could sit with him at his table. He said "sure" and we got into a converation about his boots, smoked, and had something to eat. The conversation ended up in a crowded smoky bar, and I came home with the boots. 'nuf said.
The Boots show a fair amount of wear and the typical motorcycle gear shifter dirt mark on the left boot from riding motorcycles with them on. They have 2-1/2" underslung heels and really sound great on hardwood floors. They also look good with jeans tucked in, too. I received a new pair of Dan Post roughout cowboy boots in 2005 as a gift, and to be honest, they are much more comfortable than these Justins.
