The Olathe (o-lay-tha) cowboy boot has a long reputation for boots on workin' cowboys. These Olathe cowboy boots were purchased in July, 2008, at Kleinschmidt's Western Wear in Higginsville, Missouri, which is about 50 miles south of Kansas City. A good friend brought me there to boot shop. Olathe boots were originally made in Olathe, Kansas, but the bootmaking operation was moved to Mercedes, Mexico, where these boots were made.
I had always wanted a pair of genuine Olathe buckaroo boots. These are 18" tall. They are leather lined. They have pull holes on both sides and a false pull strap. They have blue leather shafts with intricate stitching. The foot is black. The heel is 2" high and has a spur ridge. They fit tightly on my legs, but feel real good. You know you're wearin' a real cowboy boot with these bad boys on your legs.
