Unfortunately, the lack of quality reveals itself: the leather is thin. While they were marked "wide calf," they are still rather tight. I can wear them, but after a few hours, my legs begin to ache. What was amusing is that the boots were marketed as "motorcycle patrol boots" when they actually are built to the style of equestrian boots with a single strap and buckle across the instep -- a feature found on most tall equestrian boots. The boots aren't bad, but they're not nearly the quality of Dehners. However, I had wanted a pair of tall brown boots like this, so they will "do" until I perhaps purchase better quality "real deal" motor patrol boots in a color other than black.
