Updated: these are now phantom boots in my collection. They were so uncomfortable and poorly made that I could not wear them. I was going to throw them away, but my brother who gave them to me asked me to donate them to Good Will, which I did in October, 2009.
-------------- They are about 7" tall and lace up. Because they have a rubber waffle sole, that's why I classify them as motorcycle boots, because I can wear them (and have) while riding my Harley. The manufacturer calls the color "loden green" but it looks black to me. The heel is about 3/4" high. The first day I wore them, I developed blisters on both heels, so they are not all that comfortable. They look good with dress clothes, but I think I'll go back to wearing cowboy boots with suits when I have to dress up. Update: second time I wore them about a month after I got them, I developed more blisters. These are awful boots as far as comfort goes and I do not recommend them.
