These dress boots are made by Allen Edmonds in Port Washington, Wisconsin, USA.
These boots are black in color, are six inches tall, have a one-inch stacked heel, and have a rubber slip-resistant "v-tred" sole.
The boots are made of fine calfskin, are fully leather-lined, and Goodyear welted. They fit true-to-size.
The only problem that I had with these boots when new was that the tongue squeaked badly when it rubbed against the inside of the boot. Leather conditioner did not reduced the loud squeaking. The only thing that worked -- quite effectively -- was to spray both sides of the tongue under the laces with a light coating of vegetable oil (aka "Pam.") Eliminated the squeaking immediately! This post on my blog explains how I did it.
Worn with dress slacks -- the dressiest I get since I do not wear suits (thank goodness!)
Worn with leather jeans -- because every confident man should have and wear leather jeans
