 This is a visual display and tutorial about BLUF Leather Gear. What is BLUF: The Breeches and Uniform Fanclub, which is a membership organisation operated in Europe, but open to anyone who shares a common interest in wearing gear that conforms with the BLUF dress code. I am BLUF member #188. I joined BLUF in 2005, though I have been wearing BLUF gear since the 1980s.
According to BLUF, the dress code includes:
Breeches are trousers with 'balloons' on the thighs, as seen in pictures from Tom of Finland. They may be made of leather or fabric. Both leather and fabric motorcyle or military breeches as part of a complete fabric uniform is acceptable.
A full leather uniform is the preferred clothing for most BLUF members. That is tall boots, leather trousers (often breeches), with a leather shirt, tie, Sam Browne belt, gloves, Muir cap, and jacket.
