Black Leather Tie

I am not usually one for suit & tie, but there are times when I like to wear a black leather tie with a leather shirt, for the more formal leather occasions and with a uniform. I'll even wear this leather tie with dress clothes, for a spot of leather for less interesting business attire. I also have a maroon leather tie that I like to wear with business clothes, too.

I've had several cheap leather ties, both thin and wide, which have never held up well. I don't recommend leather ties that are unlined and are glued in the back along a seam. The seam comes apart and the tie hangs funny.

This black leather tie is made of heavy yet soft cowhide, is fully lined with satin in the back, and the lining and seam is sewn with durable thread. It ties well and hangs nice and straight. I looked far and wide in the United States, and never could find one of this quality. I got this one in Firenze (Florence), Italy, in 2004 for about 35 Euro.
