  Many leather Tops have a Muir Cap like the one I am wearing in the pics below. I have had this cap since the early 1980s. The store where I bought it from is no longer in business. My cap is made of thick, heavy leather. It has an excellent headband which keeps the cap on my head during heavy activity.
This Muir Cap has a low peak. While in Australia in 1996, a friend gave me an eagle pin which is on the front. I also added a chrome band across the front and a chain in place of a mylar strap across the top. I also have a plain black leather high-peak traditional Muir Cap that I wear when I want a cap that sits low over my eyes, which has that mysterious "Old-Guard Leatherman" look.
