Dan Post Boots

The Dan Post brand was created in the mid 1960s to give a better grade boot to the customer who wants authentic western boots. Dan Post was the innovator in the western boot industry to incorporate built-in comfort in every pair. The Dan Post brand became synonymous for “Handcrafted Cushion Comfort.” The company is located in Clarksville, TN and is a division of McRae Industries of Mt. Gilead, North Carolina, USA.

In 2006, McRae Industries renamed itself to the Dan Post Boot Company “to more closely identify our products in the western boot market.”

Lines: McRae Industries / Dan Post Boot Company makes Laredo Boots, John Deere Boots, Dingo Boots, Dan Post Boots, Code West Boots, Eldorado Boots and McRae Industrial boots.

Styles of boots made: cowboy boots.

Value: Dan Post boots present good value the price paid. The boots are constructed of good quality leather and materials. Most Dan Post boots are made in the United States. Some are made in Mexico. Boots are made by mechanical methods and are not hand-made.

Bootmen's experience: many men wear these boots regularly both at work and casually. The boots look good with business attire as well as with jeans. They last moderately well, though the soles wear down with regular wear and thus the boots may require resoling often.

Availability: Many licensed third-party vendors sell Dan Post Boots.

Custom sizing: Not available.

How to order: Try on and purchase in brick-and-mortar stores or from on-line vendors.
