Tecovas boots are contracted for production by the Tecovas Boot Company of Austin, Texas. This company began business in 2015. The company's website says, “Our story starts with a simple desire for handmade, high-quality boots that don't break the bank. We were tired of exorbitant $400-600 entry-level prices for the boots we wanted–not to mention the lack of trustworthy online shopping options.”
Styles of boots made: cowboy (western) boots.
Value: The boots are made in Leon, Mexico by skilled craftsman. They present a good value for the price paid considering that these boots are not mass-produced on an assembly line. The company takes great pride in the design of a good pair of western boots, and it shows.
An additional value is that the company absorbs the cost of domestic U.S. ground shipping (and returns) as a part of their pricing policy. No charge for shipping to the customer is a great value.
Variety of styles: to keep prices low and avoid over-production, very few styles of men's and women's boots are available. There are frequent stockouts and backorders are not accepted. But production time to fill gaps takes only about four weeks.
Availability: Directly from the company website (only.)
Custom sizing: Not available.
How to order: Place an on-line order (link below). Free shipping and free returns.
