I bought these boots in May, 2020, from the company website. The "pecan" color (similar to cognac) was highly recommended.
These boots are made with 100% caiman belly vamp and heelcounter with a calfskin shaft. Like all Tecovas boots, they have a bovine lining throughout the inner boot for comfort and a good fit. The natural welted and pegged sole construction shows care and quality.
These boots have hand-laid and hand-stitched cording, an angled 1.5-inch heel, Tecovas toe stitching, and a sweeping hand-corded pattern on its shaft. They are 12 inches tall. Size 11D (my measured foot size is 10D, but Tecovas boots run small, at least on me.)
These are dressy boots, so I wear them with blue or navy suits (suited/booted photos below) when I would rather get back into my booted roots instead of dress shoes.
