These black engineer boots have a unique combination design: tough, rugged motorcycle boots with a full-quill ostrich foot. They are model number Chippewa 27893, a part of the Chippewa "street warrior" line.
The boots have Vibram smooth soles and stiff, quality leather which complete these 11-inch engineer boots. I enjoy wearing these boots when I ride my Harley in good weather and when I want to wear something out of the ordinary.
I also have a pair of harness boots like this in black and another pair of harness boots like this in brown.
One thing that I do not like about these boots is that they have a narrow calf circumference. For short boots, they're hard to pull on and take off. You have to undo the buckle at the top of the shaft to make the calf wider so you can pull them on or remove them.
